I don’t know enough about the history of the flag of Palestine, but I could see it being a very popular flag in the Gulf States. I can see it being seen in Palestinian regions of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Kuwait, etc.
I think it is probably one of the most popular flags that is considered a “Palestinian” flag because both the state and the Palestinian Authority are recognized as separate entities by most of the world. I cannot find any flag that is recognized by the international community as a “Palestinian” flag. This is especially true of the Gulf States, as I have been told by those in the Gulf States that the Palestinian Authority is not recognized as a separate entity by the international community.
