“La gran senora” is a song by the American rock band Aerosmith. The track’s lyrics reference the Mexican revolutionary, “La Senora” Julia Paz Soldevila, who became a national heroine in Mexico in 1915 and who was later executed by the Mexican government as a traitor and a terrorist for her role in the Mexican Revolution.
The song is about a woman who has been married to a revolutionary who has deserted her husband and become romantically involved with a very old Spanish man, whom she later discovers is a traitor.
The Mexican Revolution was an anti-government movement that lasted from 1910 to 1910. It was led by Mexican nationalists, anarchists, communists, and socialists. It was an attempt to overthrow the Mexican government and replace it with a more democratic, egalitarian government by electing a new president. It was unsuccessful, though.
As it turns out, the Mexican Revolution was also an attempt to remove a democratically elected president from power, and to replace him with a man who was a traitor. It was led by a man named Porfirio Díaz, who was a member of the government that overthrew Mexico’s president, Venustiano Carranza, and is also the president of Mexico today.
The Mexican Revolution began as a small protest against the government of President Venustiano Carranza, who was elected by the Mexican people in 1912. The movement grew to become a real movement that threatened the very existence of the Mexican Republic. President Díaz was initially against the idea of revolution. However, by the time the Mexican Revolution began, he had become a fanatical supporter of the revolution, in spite of the lack of a clear reason to overthrow the government.
His support led to some of the worst human rights abuses of our time, like the death of thousands of innocent men, women and children, who were gunned down as they slept.
I think one of the best parts of the trailer is the voiceover proclaiming the Mexican Revolution as “good” and “better” than ours. It’s kind of like saying “good music” is better than “bad music,” or “better people” than “lesser people” (which is the same thing).
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but in this trailer you can hear a Mexican woman singing a song in Spanish that seems to be about the US government torturing and killing innocent people. It’s a song about her brother who was “made into a human being and given a new name,” and the narrator says “He’s now known simply as ‘la gran senora.’” I thought it was a great moment.
The song also has a video which you can watch by clicking the image to the right, but I really enjoyed the video a lot too. The video shows a man walking through a tunnel with a girl. He has his hands in his pockets, his face is down, and he seems to be holding her hand. Its a moment that seems to me to be one of the best videos Ive seen in a while. And there are some great shots in it too.
That’s because the song is about two people going through a tunnel together. If you look closely, you see the woman turns, and the man reaches to the left, and the tunnel opens up. The song is basically a montage of this moment, but it’s told from one perspective.
