I love the idea of “onidina” on my blog, the name for this little gem of a recipe that I whipped up while on a break from my day job. I don’t know why I’ve been so reluctant to post this recipe on here, I have a million questions, but I’ve just never been comfortable sharing my recipes so openly on the internet.
Onidina is a Greek sweet that is traditionally made with dried pine nuts, or pine nuts in general. Many Greek and Eastern European countries use pine nuts in their sweet dishes as an ingredient, and the Greeks don’t seem to mind. I have a feeling that its a similar idea here in the states, that pine nuts are the same as their cousin, pistachios.
