I recently found out that a member of my favorite band, the Dead Kennedys, recently died. It was a tragic and unexpected end to a creative life, and when I heard of his death, I was happy. I had been a member of a band that he formed a few years before he did, and I was always a big fan of his music. I was honored to have his music on my Spotify playlist.
The Dead Kennedys are one of the most influential rock bands of the past forty years. Their music has always been bold and unapologetic, and their lyrics are always provocative, often going beyond a simple rock ‘n’ roll vibe. But despite all of that, they’ve never been afraid to take a creative risk.
One of their most successful albums was 1984’s Suicide Is Painless, a record that’s been hailed as a landmark in punk rock. The album has an odd mix of punk, rock, and hardcore, and it is full of songs that make you think and question what it means to be human. Though the band is known for their music, Dead Kennedys have played a large and diverse variety of musical genres, and their work can be broadly described as “pop punk rock.
One of their most popular songs is probably the song “I Don’t Like You Anymore,” which is the opening track on the band’s 1984 album. The lyrics tell the story of a woman who’s been dumped on the side of a highway by her lover. While the song itself doesn’t make any explicit sexual references, the line “she is your wife” is an indicator of the song’s content.
This is a clear case of the song being just as relevant in the music industry as it is in pop culture. So I get the weird urge to make fun of it or just be really funny (and it has a big laugh track) but I have to keep myself from taking the stupid step of posting it on another blog.
I don’t really know how to deal with memes anymore. I always feel like it’s just a matter of time before I get a new account I can post the same meme on. But like all meme campaigns, the real problem is that they only last for a few days. So when I see the meme, I feel like there’s a good chance that it will disappear shortly thereafter. I’m not even sure why I’m posting it though.
The problem is that the meme campaign is already a long-term campaign, and even though it’s a meme that really isn’t worth anything (unless you have a lot of followers, which you probably don’t), it’s still a meme. No matter how many followers a meme has, it will only last about a week. Because its only one of those memes that gets made every day, and it’s only one of those memes that gets posted on a blog.
That’s why it helps to spread it on twitter and Facebook. That way you can get a lot more people hearing about it and clicking on it.
Its not a meme at all, and really not worth much until it gets into the hands of millions of people and becomes a real campaign. Even then, its a meme for a few years at most, and then its not worth anything. For example, the meme of “dead plant” has been in existence for over a year. This meme has actually gotten hundreds of thousands of people from around the world to share it, and not once has it been used to promote any product.
It’s just an interesting meme to share among the whole world, but it’s not worth anything. It’s only got a few days of fame, and it’s a meme for a few years at most.
